Texarkana Warrant Checks
Use the Municipal Court page for a city citation and ask the clerk to confirm whether a warrant is active. The court says it issues warrants when a defendant does not take care of a citation or answer a promise to appear. Have the citation number and the court paper ready.
The city links “Pay Your Warrant Online” through MyGov TXK, but its search fields were not verified. The general court number is 903-798-3010; the FAQ lists warrant-specific clerk lines for current options.
- Read the citation and wait the city's stated 72 hours for the case to enter.
- Answer by the citation date in writing or in person; a phone call alone does not satisfy the requirement.
- Call the warrant clerks if the date was missed or a warrant may have issued.
- Ask whether the route is payment, a plan, appearance, bond, or legal counsel.
- Keep the receipt or written order and confirm the next court setting.
Texarkana's Two Warrant Clerk Lines
The municipal-court FAQ names 903-798-3009 and 903-798-3790 for warrant options arising from City of Texarkana tickets. The court lists weekday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on its contact page. Ask which clerk handles the matter and whether an online balance reflects the warrant itself.
These contacts are not a countywide warrant line. A JP ticket, district case, family matter, or federal question requires the court or agency that holds that separate record.

Texarkana's 72-Hour Citation Entry Window
The city's citation-resolution page tells a person to wait 72 hours for entry and answer by the date printed on the citation. The answer can be written or in person. A telephone call by itself is not an appearance. If the deadline was missed, the city directs people to the warrant clerk numbers for options.
Before paying, ask whether the transaction counts as a plea, a time-payment agreement, or a warrant-recall step. The fine-payment page accepts several routes and may charge a service fee for online or phone payment. Confirm the case effect with the clerk.
Warrants in Texarkana: The Main Types
The city court's traffic, ordinance, and fine-only cases can lead to an FTA warrant or capias pro fine after a missed obligation. The municipal judge also performs magistrate duties for other authorized process. A search warrant is an order to search, not a traffic-citation warrant.
| Warrant Type | How It Arises | Who Issues It |
|---|---|---|
| Traffic warrant | Missed answer or court date on a city citation | Texarkana Municipal Court |
| Ordinance or Class C | Unresolved city-code or fine-only matter | Texarkana Municipal Court |
| FTA / capias pro fine | Missed obligation or unpaid fine judgment | Municipal judge |
| Search warrant | Probable-cause request for a place or item | Authorized magistrate |
Texarkana Warrant Amnesty Was Dated
The City's FY2025–26 budget reports a Municipal Court amnesty held from February 3 through April 17, 2025. It says 222 warrants were recalled. The budget also reports court three to four times a week and night court one to two times each month.
This is a past city event, not proof of a 2026 program or a standing county roundup. The budget does not list current eligibility, reductions, or plan terms. Call the Municipal Court for the options open now.
Texarkana Warrant Records: What They Show
A city record may include a citation or cause number, the court, the offense, a balance or bond instruction, an issue date, and an event such as service, payment, recall, or removal. No local warrant-number format or unified status code was published. Ask whether the screen shows a balance or a court-confirmed warrant status.
| Citation reference | Not published Online payment requires the citation number. |
|---|---|
| Issuing court | Texarkana Municipal Court |
| Underlying matter | Traffic, city ordinance, or another Class C case. |
| Amount or bond | Ask the clerk for the current amount and posting route. |
| Status event | Confirm whether paid, recalled, returned, or still active. |
Texarkana Class C Warrant No-Book Process
General Order 7.02.1 allows an officer to accept full payment instead of booking for some Class C city warrants when the required money or card is immediately available. During business hours, payment is directed to the municipal-court window. After hours and weekends, the order specifies cash at Central Records and Communications.
This is an officer procedure, not a guaranteed safe harbor. If payment cannot be made, normal booking may follow. The order says the warrant is returned to court for disposition and local database removal. It does not apply to every type of warrant or other court.
Texarkana Warrants and Bowie County
A Texarkana municipal citation stays with the city court, while a separate JP, district, family, or federal matter has its own custodian. The county sheriff page is not a public countywide search, and Texas has no public statewide warrant portal. For the complete court map and county records routes, use the Bowie County warrant records overview.
Texarkana GovTransfer Request Route
The city's Public Records page directs written law-enforcement requests through the City Secretary and an online GovTransfer account. The public instructions ask the requester to choose the agency, identify the parties and event, and provide a date, location, or case number. Email attachments are not accepted through the city route.
The login screen is only the request entry point; it does not show a warrant result. For a personal status question, the Municipal Court clerk may be quicker. For an existing police record, request the specific report or return sought.
The city links GovTransfer from its Public Records page.

Accessing Texarkana Warrant Records
The city's Public Records page accepts written requests for existing records and says exceptions, redactions, and fees may apply. A request should name the record sought, such as a warrant, docket entry, return of service, or arrest report. A response may not include every internal database field.
Key Rules:
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public information requests and exceptions.
Code of Criminal Procedure Article 18.011 allows certain search-affidavit sealing.
Family Code Chapter 58 restricts juvenile justice records.
Texarkana FY2025 Cases Are Not Warrants
The OCA FY2025 municipal activity report lists 11,639 active-pending cases at the start of its reporting year and 14,914 at the end for Texarkana. The reporting period ran September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. These are active-pending municipal cases, not warrants or people subject to arrest.
The figures describe court workload and help explain why a clerk or payment route may need confirmation. They do not establish how many warrants exist or whether a specific citation has been recalled.
